I meet a friend for breakfast once a week to eat and chat! As for breakfast it self, I normally have the same thing most of the time. Toast and coffee, milk and cereal, and occasionally, eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast! Rather simple! However, I never miss breakfast! Haven't in 63 yrs!
Cheers!!
I HATE BREAKFAST! I never have liked it but I do force myself when demanded. Some doctors are absolutely hell bent on breakfast and, now that I have Type II Diabetes, it's a must. When we sleep in (as in the motorhome) we love to go out or a "brunch" and then not eat again until dinner. Left without worldly influences, I would be happy with just my coffe until lunch.
All of you have a great day WHATEVER you have for breakfast.

My breakfast varies. I like bagels and cream cheese, toasted english muffins, blueberry muffins, homemade biscuits, waffles, pancakes and bacon and eggs.
Afternoon All......Could use a cup a coffee now........Ham & Eggs,Fried potato's......
My wife and I seldom go out for breakfast except when we travel. It's the one meal I'd hate to go without. Twenty-five years or so ago my kids touted the "fit for Life" diet of food combining. I joined in with them for a short time and they quit the program completely. Well, I do a little bit of it yet, mostly the breakfast meal, but in a modified way. Every other morning I eat only fruit. Then the other day I make delicious rolled oats with lots of goodies. I slice and chop one big apple, throw in a handful of raisins, slice one banana and throw in a dash of salt and simmer til it's just right. Yum-yum!! . . . . Don't get me wrong; I love bacon, eggs, toast, gobs of jelly, bagels, cream cheese, whipping cream, and all that stuff that would send my cholesterol through the ceiling. . . But, like Nancy Reagan, I just say "NO."

I LOVE breakfast - my favorite meal of the day. Sometimes we have it for supper. I mix it up and don't have the same thing every day.
Whole wheat waffles with yogurt.
Cereal with bananas and/or blueberries.
Eggs and toast or waffles.
Pancakes - and I do splurge and buy 'real' maple syrup.
etc......

Coffee first, then I do eat cereal with fruit, or toast with sliced tomato and maybe an egg on top. I also like the whole wheat waffles. I do believe the doctors are right about breakfast being the most important meal of the day. Fitness instructors stress that too. I heard somebody say that we should start eating dinner for breakfast and eat the lighter meal in the evening.
I really luv breakfast; being raised in the south, I am accustomed to hot grits. I eat oatmeal several times a week--with a lil' sugar and lowfat spread--no milk! I like scrambled eggs, wheat bread, and grits or oatmeal with turkey sausage and wheat toast. I always have a tall glass of water, orange juice, or pomegranate juice. I do put natural fruit spread on the toast. Recently, I have become more and more fiber conscious--for colon health--so, I am trying to have Raisin Bran about 3x per week.
Oh, Sherrie515, I am now reminded that I do like wheat waffles. I havent had any in over a year. Gotta grocery shop soon--so, I will buy the frozen ones! Thanks for the reminder.
Genuinely....I'm going to call you Gen!!!!!
I LOVE grits. My grandparents, (both sets) were fron the South and I grew up on grits. I love to mix them with over easy eggs, butter and a bit of salt. They're actually the only time I use salt at all! Grits, eggs and real fresh squeezed OJ.
Or, real oatmeal, (NOT quick) with butter, evaporated milk and brn sugar, decaf coffee with 1/2 & 1/2
OR when I go out (rarely), I have country potatoes, scrambled eggs and cheese with decaf and 1/2
HG, this was a good question! Got me to thinking I need to change things up a bit.
