HI Everyone

Sorry - I haven't been around. I had a computer crash - it's a bad one and was going to cost several hundred dollars to undo, so thanks to John, cuz he bought me a new laptop today. Whew. I was having withdrawals cuz that's the only way we get to talk to Patrick, online, that is.

OMG, Claire! I sure relate to that, as you know... Its my lifeline to Marc, too!! Hope you are doing OK!!

Thinking bout you and Marc every day, too, Marilyn. Dang. I"m so glad to be working again, and really enjoying my job. Looking forward to Bert & friends coming home for THanksgiving, and trying to stay in touch with Patrick. Patrick posted a pic from Iraq on facebook, with him standing next to a street sign "New Orleans Saints Ave." I"ve had friends from New Orleans (fb friends) who asked if they could steal it, and I"ve had two reporters contact me now about the pic.

Patrick would be so tickled. He says he's not special, he's just a guy doing his job. And Bert - telling me to have the folks with the packages not send any to him and his unit, cuz they aren't deployed yet, and to save them for the guys who are deployed.

I"ll be so glad to have Bert home that weekend, and for 2 weeks at Christmas!!! I"m making a cardboard cutout of a guy and will make him into Patrick (thank goodness for graphics programs and cool printers), and will have Patrick represented at the holidays!! Gonna send him pics.
