Eons Ads

I'm curious about something -- the banner ads that appear on the group pages, do you click on them? What do you do, if anything, when you see one that's offensive or obnoxious? I click on the ones that I find interesting, but I've never followed through once clicking on it -- in other words, I've never bought anything or sign up for anything, but I've been curious enough to click on the banner.

These ads is how Eons makes money, and without money they can't run the site. I'm not in any way connected with Eons, and I'm not asking to find out for Eons what works and what doesn't, I'm just curious how my Wisconsin friends deal with these ads.

Actually, I have ad blocker. I don't see them at all.

I do too, but I turn it off most of the time - like ads on TV, I find them interesting for the most part, and only annoying once in a while.

Some of the ads on Eons are out and out stupid or offensive, in my opinion, but many of them are really quite attractive and interesting -- maybe it's the short history I have in the commercial art field that gets me looking at these ads that way.

I use my frugal ad blocker, my brain. I ignore them.

I ignore them. Pop up blockers etc. interefere with other programs They are becoming more and more annoying. Too many flash or move. Simetimes my pages don't load with certain ads.

I just clicked on the Kashi ad and registered to get my free sample -- how can I refuse a free sample?

Bingo Mike!!! I got my free sample a couple of months ago. I love Kashi cereal and I wasn't about to pass up a free sample!!!

I usually just ignore the ads.

GMWolfie how do you block them. I need details I am not a computer wizard, don't even know how I got here.

I usually ignore them, but I clicked on Kashi too. I got a free sample of their cereal and like it. The word FREE drew my attention so Mike when you tell the ad companies what works. Tell them "Free" is a good attention getter.
