Wayne's self proclaimed worst movie he ever made was Girls Demand Excitement (1931). I've never seen it, but I'll take his word for it
So what do you think about The Conqueror? I have seen him play many roles but portraying a Genghis Khan type of character was just not him. If you have not seen it, then I recommend that you do. You will see what I mean.
He was so miscast in that movie. I still do not understand why he made it. And you know about all the cast and crew who worked on the movie that got cancer? They shipped in dirt from Utah where nuclear testing had ocurred and many feel that is why so many of them eventually had some form of cancer.
I've seen it. It was not a shining moment, but honestly, I enjoy any Duke movie. Got a chuckle out of the make-up making him look oriental.
I do have the movie in my collection mostly out of prosperity. And yes, I did know about the cancer thing. I watch it when I want a good laugh! :)
the ones that I disliked the most were a couple of his last ones...True Grit and Rooster Cogburn...the directors had him acting as badly as the others in the film...I have not seen the two that yall are talking about

Acting badly??? He won the academy award for best actor playing that character.
How about "Legend of The Lost?" This one leaves me cold. I do not know of his early films as I feel they were just learning tools. TRhe question should be "Which of John's films since Stage Coach'" are stinkers.
That is a good candidate for sure! All actors have bad movies that they have made over the years. Each fan may pick a different movie that they felt were the worst that actor made. Same goes for the best. It is whatever your opinion is.

I agree on Legend of the Lost. It is simply ahhhh, okay, but not one of The Duke's best.
