New Company in Phoenix Area

I heard an announcement on Channel 3 this morning that Suntech Solar Systems from China has chosen Phoenix to build their facility in the United States. They have not chosen the site as of yet, but October 2010 is the date. Please Google Suntech Solar Power or just Suntech and you will get their website. You will see links at the top of their homepage to check careers. They plan to hire 75 employees at first, then the company will of course grow. I checked their career page and they are accepting online resumes with a cover letter. Great opportunity to get in on the ground floor.

Progress yes, but CHINA??? It is like the Solar farm that Spain is building in AZ!! What is wrong with America? Apparently we cannot compete in the Global Market. All we are, are consumers! This WILL come back to bite us!!!

Since the economy went down the toilet, I have seen that the U.S. is not the front-runner in technology. I was just thinking about jobs coming to Phoenix, not so much that it was a Chinese company.
