I have a multi-layered mirror that I have had since I married in 1969.
My husband used to love to look at himself, wherever there was a reflection and the mirror with all those different angles was his greatest present !!!!
He died last September, but when I pass the mirror, I still smile !
Finally...someone replied. I think the mirror sounds nice. My husband died in Sept. I am sorry for your loss.
I don't have things I consider 'lucky charms', but I do have a chest of drawers of my grandmother's. Also a few cup and saucer sets of my mom's, she collected them. And a few pieces of jewelry from mom and my grandmothers. Things like that will be passed on to my kids.

A little dinner bell that belonged to my mom. Every once in a while it just tips over and I smile and say 'Hello Mom, you are sure missed'.
PS. Did you really expect all of us disorganized people to be on time answering this post? (but we are getting better) : ))
Now, I didn't expect you to answer fast - I loveart...I was starting to question the topic, that's all!! I think that a lot of us are keeping a lot of treasures...at least I am.
Do you not worry that no one else will see them as treasures after we are gone? I have one room that holds my treasures (and Lord knows, they are only treasures to me) and I ask that the kids take them back when that time comes. It is usually something they have given me and is priceless to only me.
Well I collect giraffes and have hundreds of them and told my son and daughter when I die, they can make me a double layer- giraffes, me, giraffes, like lasagna !
I also loved Robert Goulet for over 40 years and told the kids they better put a picture of him in with me also ! so I can rest in peace and so will they !
I lost my husband September 2008 but we shared the joke about the giraffes going in with me.
I don't feel lucky as I lost a diamond circle necklace right after he died and I still look everywhere, just in case, but the mirror was something we both enjoyed
I hope you find your necklace - the necklace will show up. Just keep checking new places.
I have three things that I treasure. An insscribed ring that my grandfather gave to my grandmother in 1914. My aunt gave it to me when I turned 14 and I haven't taken the ring off since the day I got it; a rataan telephone seat and stand that my mother gave me when DH and I bought our first home, and a collection of silver that I inherited from another aunt. The silver meant so much to her and I try to remember that when I have to polish it!
