People have been saying the end is near forever.
I know we are not supposed to mention the Bible, but it says no one knows the hour.
I don't give it any thought.
My time could come tonight, someone else is dying right now.
When the world ends it ends, what can we do about it?
We need to focus on the right now, and let go for worrying over things we can't control.
I don't believe that the Mayans meant the end of the World, but rather the end of the present Age and the beginning of a new Age. The whole thing about the Mayan Calendar is that the present CYCLE ends on December 21, 2012. It is possible that there will be Physical and Worldly manifestations, but I don't believe that it will be catatrophic!

Monteguy, I think you may be right. I saw that special and that is much the view that was brought out in it. The calendar may end there, but as with all other endings, a new one can now take it's place. I'd be more interested in what will be new rather than worry about what will end. Just my 2 cents worth...
And if the world ends, who will be left to care?
I didn't know we weren't supposed to mention the Bible, so I'll include my comment that perhaps 2012 is when the end days will start in ernest.
we weren't supposed to mention the Bible, ? I do not know that either.mentioning the Bible
is not the same as trying to force it on people..so... can't mention the Bible would not set well with me.

Oh please - just like the people who thought the world was going to end on Y2K!
People have been looking for the end of the world forever.
The thing is, if the world is really going to end, what difference can one's preparations make?
If I am talking about the end of times (so called)..then as a Christian I must point to Revelations
and other books of the Bible, otherwise there is nothing for me to say about it.
