Well the storm has finally left. We went out yesterday to explore the damage and were surprised, not standing water anywhere on the island, that we could find, but the damage on the beach, well here is what we saw.

We still have gray skies and some light wind, but we'll take it.

Sunday greetings Brig....our local news had shown some of the storm/damage footage earlier, but not sure where it was from.....amazing how much of the beach is washed away or moved!! I assume the local or state gov't. has a program to restore the sand? I'm sure it's expensive to do so.....

Well, at least your home is high and dry and with winter here you wouldn't be on the beach much anyway.....how does this affect your husband's fishing? Well, have a good Sunday....I'm going to try to get Christmas lights on the roof before the rain hits our area.....TC

TC, he is on his way out now. He is working today, so he will be seeing how many other's are out trying to fish. We saw a couple of fishermen up on the beach yesterday, but the ocean was still roiling and they gave it up fast. They where loosing their gear.

Wow Brig--those pictures tell it all. I imagine it will be a big undertaking to restore---and costly too!

I am just glad that the storm has finally passed and that you guys and your property are all ok.

Hope you get some drying out days in the week ahead. We have had plenty of sunshine here and expect some more this week. Some of the November storms can be more disastrous than the summer storms - and not always expected.
