Flat Rate at the Post Office

Now that the U.S. Postal Service bases postage charges on the thickness of a letter as well as its weight, use a rolling pin to flatten your thick mail as much as possible before mailing. This trick was from a postal associate who did this when an envelope was just a little too fat. She had a slot that it had to fit through to qualify for the basic rate. Rolling it did the trick to make it fit, and it will save you a few cents in the process.

I had a news post that showed the USPS had a loss of 3.5 Billion in 2008. What are they giving us?

I sure like the internet, even if sometimes it freezes over. Maybe if they didn't do so much advertising
they could break even.
