What Are Your Plans For Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving 2009 Pictures, Images and Photos
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Will you host, will you go to another home or restaurant? What are your plans for this very special day?

I used to be the one hosting the dinner and would always invite friends who lived alone or had no family in the area. My oldest daughter absolutely loves to entertain and has asked to take over the yearly dinner. I am thrilled that I just have to take a few dishes and have fun with minimal work. She also loves to invite those who have no specific plans which always makes this holiday extra-special!~

Since the family has grown we rent the Stone House a historical 1700's house for our dinner. Mom and I still take almost all the food. Anyone we know that has no where to go is welcome. I always fix up plates for friends of my sons to take to his friends that are to bashful to come. They are in college together but still bashful .

Pauletta, that sounds like a very unique, different place to celebrate -- how awesome!~ Ironwill, good for you to make the time and effort to host, and Dottie, that is always wonderful to be the guest!~

My honey always goes up to Ohio for a week at thanksgiving to hunt with his grandsons, so I do no cooking while he is away. I have to work on thanksgiving day so it will be just like any day to me. I count my many blessing everyday so I do not need a special day to do so. I hope everyone here has a great day and do not stuff yourself to much. Enjoy your friends and families and be thankful we all have the freedom to do so.

Hi everyone. I'm going to my daughter's family. I don't remember ever cooking the meal...I'd have to have specific instructions on how to cook a turkey. lol...Everyone else have a teeerific Thanksgiving & if you are traveling....be safe.

We will go to my Mom's house because she is 81 and don't get around much. I will still have to do all the cooking then load it all up to go to her house. Both my son's and their families are suppose to go so there should be around 10 of us. I bought my turkey and some of the other food today.
