4 Cheap Christmas Gifts To Make

I loved the idea of the fudge and it's so simple to make. You can even purchase a really pretty container from a thrift store in their housewares section, line the container with pretty cellophane and put your fudge in it.

Great idea. I make several different kinds of cookies and make up packets of them.

I use old holiday cards to make baskets. Cut the cards to form the "walls" and bottom of the basket in whatever size you want, then punch holes on the edges. Lace the cards together with ribbon or string to make the baskets.

Fill the baskets with cookies and wrap the whole thing in that nice colored saran that's around during the holidays and tie with a bow. They really are pretty and appreciated.

Sammig I did the same thing last year, except I only made one basket with old holiday cards, I used white ribbon to lace up the sides, it really looked nice too.

Sure, if you lived closer I'd share.:-)

Have not had the 'Russian Tea" since junior high!

Was the gift back them for your nearest and dearest friends!

What a flashback, he.

Loved the 4 cheap Christmas gifts to make. When we were kids, we bought a package of matches for our uncles because we didn't know what else to get them for Christmas. Then we covered each match pack with Christmas paper. Cut and glued the paper to the match packets. ha ha ha - we had so much fun making them and our uncles really appreciated the hand made look.

You can also make cute Christmas tags from your old Christmas cards. Cut the card in the shape of a tag, punch a hole in the top, tie on a string or ribbon and voila!!! - gorgeous Christmas tags for your packages.

Dini, I agree. I've been using cards for all kinds of stuff for years. Once year I made holiday placemats out of a bunch by putting them on top of old placemats then painting over it with polyurethane. I always use last year's for tags.
