Saturday nites

Every couple of Saturday nites, I am unable to sleep due to being kept awake by weird conversations with my wife (who passed away July 4 2008). Not every week, tho. This just started about 8 weeks ago.

Anyone else having such visitiation?

Mike, I hope your conversations are comforting... Earlier on, David and I used to have conversations when I was walking the dogs (which we used to do together). I still visit with him each evening, and every once in a while he will let me know he's listening...

Mike,
I always seem anymore to be having more conversations with Jack than ever before and sometimes its comforts me, but then when I am upset with life and his leaving me, the conversations can turn out to be yelling on my part. I think this is perfectly normal and we all have those type of conversations. Are the conversations bothering you? Are they keeping you from falling asleep? Did something happen 8 weeks ago to start your needing to talk to your wife again. Our minds play tricks on us I believe and maybe you just needed to talk to her for the past 8 weeks. You are in the 2nd year and I think the 2nd year is harder because we have gotten rid of the fog we were in for the whole 1st year and things are more defined right now. But to answer your original question, I have conversations with my Jack and I know everyone else probably does also. So don't worry about them to much.
Hugs,
Kathy

thanks.
Actually, my wife's special cat is suddenly deteriorating. Her health is going south. She is @16 1/2, and she was my wife's. I have 5 others. At one time in our lives we had 10. But this one was special.

Since last Wednesday I have spent $600+ on her, and the vet is consulting with a specialist this afternoon, and maybe I'll get some real answers.

It was about 8 weeks ago that I realized that the cat, Prudence, was much lighter than I remembered.

Mike,
I am so sorry to hear about your cat and wow almost 17 years old, that is great. I hope everything works out okay with saving her, but you know maybe that is why your wife is visiting you right now. You know if something happens to Prudence, she will go to be with our wife and then they both will be visiting you. Wow vet bills are as much as regular doctor bills, maybe we should have a national pet health bill. LOL
Hugs,

Prudence passed away peacefully as I took her to the vet for an ultrasound. We turned around and buried her in the yard, near to her best friend of many years, Fred (who also lived to17). I this past Saturday nite I only had a very short visit from my wife. I have been unable to sleep without Prudence under the cover with me, but I think I'll get over that with 2 12 year old Siamese cats sleeping on me and 2 other cats snoring away not very far away, one at the foot of my bed and the other in the rocking chair on the other side of the bed.

Later...

btw I am going to visit my granddaughters for turkey day, and their 3 cats (2 of them acquired from my wife and I).
