Ella-Ruth & Ashley 2007

Our 5 yr. old G-daughter (the one on the left) ran 37 laps on a 35 lap trail at school yesterday. Her Moma said she never stopped and was passing everyone. Her Daddy called to brag last night. Her name is Ella-Ruth and she's a pistol.

Way to go Ella-Ruth!!! Quite an accomplishment for a 5 year old, and your grandmother is also proud of you.
Gunnur was the fastest runner at his school beating all the 2nd and 3rd graders. Talking about another proud dad . . . and Granny. Smile

She runs everywhere anyway. Is Gunnur like that?

It always gives us pleasure to see children/grandchildren enjoy their lives. Things become more difficult as time goes on. :~(

sweet!

My stepgrand, Tori (she's 8) called me to tell me that she got 2nd place in the Reflections contest at her school--it is a national art contest and she had asked me to help her with it. I teach art, and so I just encouraged her to draw up her idea--she came up with a cute picture of a cat and dog on a stage under the spotlight. The theme was "Beauty Is.." and she had to add a statement of how that tied into the theme. Her statement was "Beauty is when you're in the spotlight and you are shining". She was SO excited and proud of herself! I was so happy to get that call today :o)

JA, Gunnur only knows one speed . . . jet propelled. LOL

Namastacy, that's great news to hear about Tori. I'm sure your encouragement had a positive effect on her. The contest; by her winning, will contribute to her self esteem. Both my grandsons are involved with art as well and, they too show their creative side and imagination. Keep up the reinforcement and congratulate her from your friends here on Eons.
