The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society
I just finished this book, and was delightfully surprised at how good it was. This book was recommended to me by my aunt. It's set in London and Guernsey (a British island) in 1946 after WWII. The entire book is written as a series of letters between Juliet Ashton, a writer, the residents of Guernsey Island, and Juliet's editor and friends. Juliet is looking for her next book subject, and receives a letter from a man she's never met who lives on Guernsey, and she then begins to exchange letters with the residents of the island. I highly recommend this book - you won't be disappointed.
