Perhaps the text is confusing. The "Blog entry sharing" control determines who is theoretically able to see the published blog post. Nobody will get a specific notification about it unless they are subscribed to your blog. Friends might also see the notice on My Eons, in their "Recent Activity" section. To send an email inviting your real-life friends to view the blog post, you may want to use the SHARE button on your blog post.
The label should be changed to "Blog entry privacy"
Can you explain that again? I only saw "real life groups" not sure what that meant. I did not see a way to send a email to specific friends anymore. I just saw hit publish..Very confused...LOL..Thanks for the help...LL
You might be remembering the "Invite people to my blog" feature which was replaced by the "SHARE" button. The SHARE button is not quite the same because you cannot notify each and every Eons member with it (unless you know their email addresses) ...but that was one of the reasons the feature was replaced - too much invitation-spam.
Hi, I don't remember seeing a share button. I just know I wrote PM's to many friends and only one got the blog invitation to read. It never showed up in any groups. I believe I checked "real life groups", and checked many of my groups that it listed, and none got a invite. I appreciate your answer. I still have only one friend that I know of that got the invite. I guess there is not much I can do. The blog was a salute to veterans, and I am a veteran so I wanted to make sure it got out. Thanks for trying to help...LL
