I'll be at home with my family, unless we decide to go to the kids' house about 1/2 hour away.
I'll be here at home cooking and setting the table for 16. I soooooo wish my home was bigger!!!
I'd rather cook for 20 but I'll drive 2 hours to Reedsburg with Nate, possibly meeting my brother and his daughter, take mom out for Thanksgiving luncg and drive home again.
I so miss having people over and cooking for large groups.
Come and join me and my friends. You are welcome here.
Oh trish...I love that little town of Reedsburg. I drive through that way when I visit an old neighbor of mine that moved to Muscoda. Is that town as pleasant as I feel it is?
It is a nice town. I Facebook with a number of kids who were in HS with me. None of us live there anymorebut we have rather fond membories of living there. For the most part no one moved in and no one moved out. The picture of my 3 year old Sunday School class and my confirmation class had only one difference.
I am all for flying down to see Yankee for lunch and then flying back here for dinner/supper(or the other way around)...anyone with me? lol
Would love the hashbrown casserole recipe, Yank. I am home by myself that day as my kids have plans and everyone else is going up to my sisters' outside of Minocqua and I don't want to go. They want me to carpool and I am not a carpool kind of person - espec. when you can't leave when you want to or have to. And my parents have gastric problems that make riding in the car with them with the windows closed sheer agony! LOL Especially after huge dinner! (Why does noone understand this?) So I am going to make a chicken for myself or something...some squash and green beans (fresh) and create a relaxing day for myself!
Isn't there some parades on that day and football??
I will be at my sister's house and making our own that weekend.
Here is the recipe razz........
Hashbrown Potato Casserole
2 lb bag of frozen hash browns
3/4 c. melted butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream
1tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
10 oz. grated cheddar cheese
2 c. crushed corn flakes
* Defrost potato's. Combine in a bowl with 1/2 c melted butter and all other ingrediends - except corn flakes. Pour into a 3 quart casserole or a 8X13 baking dish. Mix remaining butter and corn flakes and sprinkle over potato's. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 8-10.
You can prepare a day ahead - just add extra baking time.
Enjoy
That sounds really good! I really need to go to the store....
