Went to visit my sister at her assisted living place and they had a presentation for all the veterans that live there or work there. It was really nice.

Our Fitness Center has many members who are veterans. Yesterday and today we honored them with lots of decorations i.e. flags, buntings, red/white/blue balloons, patriotic music, festive tables with platters of cheese, crackers, fresh fruits, muffins, tea breads, yogurt, Starbucks coffee, etc. Many of the veterans brought pictures and memorabilia to share. We have individual pictures of each veteran holding a flag and a professionally made video showing them. A dear friend of mine, age 89, was part of the beach landing at Normandy. He brought his scrapbook and shared tales. Lots of hugs and thank yous passed around. Yes, it's good to remember and give gratitude.
