Terrorist attack under obama

Even though the obama administration is working hard not to have this terrorist attack on American soil labeled a terrorist attack It is what it is and all the spin won't change it. I wonder how many more attacks will happen under this inept muslim president's watch?

If you're talking about what happened at Ft. Hood, the more that is found out about the creep, the more it is clear that it was very much a terrorist attack on American soil. He was out to cleanse the base of non-Muslims. he was yelling Allah's name while he did so. He had had communication with known Muslim leaders who encourage violence and terrorism. He may not have been in collusion with a particular group, I think he acted alone, but he had some very questionable associations.

Hopefully he will meet John Muhammed's fate very soon. Sounds like a pretty open and shut case. And down here, we don't care to house people such as him long.

There's no such thing as an 'open and shut' case in the US anymore. It will be years before he is convicted - probably get sent to a mental rehab for life. He'll spend a long time making pottery crocheting prayer rugs - be cured of the terrible disease that caused him to become a deranged killing machine (not his fault, mind you) and be released into society to become a fully functioning productive citizen again. He can even qualify to work in a post office - previous experience...

I agree he's a terrorist. He followed the typical path of listening to extremists, praising extremists, then choosing a suicide mission of his own (I doubt if he expected to survive any more than a suicide bomber does). He will face trial in a military court, so there's less chance that a liberal civilian judge will let him off lightly. A mental illness defense seems weak. There's little difference between fanaticism and insanity, e.g., are suicide bombers fanatics or insane? I'm sure they would argue that they're being martyrs for their faith and do not consider themselves mentally ill in any way.
There's still a big question regarding the fact that his radical views were known yet no action was taken. It makes no sense. We make elderly grandmothers take off their shoes in airports because they might be a threat, but a military officer with weapons training who is in contact with radicals and praising suicide bombers isn't a threat? That's PC to the extreme.

We don't want to upset the 3500 muslim soldiers. Better to upset the other 250,000. What a joke this president is.

Obama is sending a very dangerous message around the world and it is not being missed in the Islamic world or in North Korea, Russia and China. He is a very weak president and will not make hard decisions that involve the international community. His delay on action in Afghanistan, his soft ball with North Korea and Iran and his gutting of our defenses have embolden those who wish us harm. He is more interested on making the US comply with the rest of the world than helping us maintain our strong position in the world and our standard of living. I am not sure the American people really understood what he meant by "change" - because if they did and still voted for him - shame on them.

You guys are funny. Obama is a muslim like you guys are.
You seem to forget that the big attack came under Dick Cheneys presidency. Who was inept then? (does anyone really believe Bush was in charge?)
Or, I can take it all the way like some people would and say that the last administration was behind the 9/11 attacks, simply for ignoring the screams and warnings from so many people that it was about to take place.
I think the reason our president is taking his time is to get all the facts, and doesn't jump into it without looking at what the results could be, I think he wants to avoid the problems the last guys gave to him. Gung ho is easy for people who never served.

MG, this terrorist will be tried by the military - not civilian courts. They have not sentenced anyone to death in over 50 years. No decision on what penalty they will seek in this case. Being in Texas won't make any difference in a military trial.

Really? Is that why he called an entire police department 'stupid'? Because he waited for all the facts?

What he needs to do is act like a grown-up and accept the fact that every president inherits good and bad from their predecessor. His followers need to do the same.

Hopefully he will have less of a chance with a military tribunal than he would in the Texas courts, and you are correct AG, he will be tried by the military. I think his penalty will be equally severe unless 0bama gives him clemency. He's stupid, but I don't think he is that stupid.
