Kid's Toys You Wish You Still Had

view link

Thought of your 1959 Barbie when I saw this, Sydney Lynn. Even at a third of this quoted value for a near mint one, I think I'd be willing to part with her :)

My former husband had all his childhood Lionel trains stored in the cupboards above the closets at his mother's house. Unfortunately, after she passed on, unbeknownst to us, his nephew was allowed to live in the house for a month or so. The kid decided it was a good idea to give away or sell everything in the house to his "friends".

If that barbie or any of the toys listed were mine, I would be saying bye bye to them so fast! I have hoarded so much, it just needs to be gone, and if I can make a buck, well, all the better. When my sister would buy the star wars toys for her boys, she would buy an extra one to "save". She stored them at our mom's house. When mom died app. 13 yrs ago, my brother (who never came home), did, and he was "helping" dad clean up. He threw out probably a hundred plus of the toys, still in their pkgs! Judging by the prices on the link, she lost several thousands on those toys. Need I say, she was livid??

My boys and I collected quite a few star wars action figures and had a nice starwars collectable case to store them, in the 70's.

I used to have a Barbie that had molded plastic hair and came with 3 wigs so you could change her hair color and style. After I moved out of my parents house they had a garage sale and sold everything I hadn't taken with me.

I used to have my Dad's Lionel trains, but somehow they disappeared during a move. I wouldn't really want to use them, but it was very upsetting that someone would do that.
