Stitching Weekend!

Well, this is the weekend that I will spend in Door County with my cross stitching group. We have 35 members going. The place that we are staying puts together a weekend that includes room and all meals cooked by a chef which includes warm cookies for brunch on Sunday!! We arrive on Friday and check out is Sunday after brunch. Door County is a lot like New England with its little shops and antique places. If you look at a map of Wisconsin it is the portion that sticks out into lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay. I am looking so forward to this trip. I am riding with another lady and also sharing a room with her. We will all meet at the shop and caravan up there. We will have lunch at the White Gull Inn and do some shopping and then check into our Cherry Hills retreat. Cherry Hills is a golf resort with all the amenities so I am sure we will be very comfortable. Will let you all know about the stitching when I get back!!

I know jealousy is a no-no, but I do have a twinge!! Your weekend sounds like so much fun. It is just fun to be with people with like interests.

A few years ago I was doing SurgarBusters. There was a site like ours and a chat room. There were about 7 or 8 of us from LA. We decided to get together. One of the gals lived in a central location and she invited us to her home. She had a large home with a couple of guest bedrooms rooms and an expanded attic set up with about 8 beds. It was Mardi Gras time and Missy belonged to a Krewe that would be in a parade. We had a blast! Her family and friends embraced us and we were invited to Mardi Gras gatherings. We had front row lawn chairs at one friend's house for the parade and took park in their buffet. People are so nice. It is something I will always remember.

Oh my, do you have room in your suitcase for me? The whole weekend sounds wonderful. Hope you get lots of visiting, shopping and stitching done.
