Please take pity on me... as I am such a novice. I have not yet moved to snow lep. Does this mean if I purchase it now it will come with the fixes?

I haven't done the I tunes update yet, after reading about problems others have had with it. Think if I do the move to snow lep I can safely do the I tunes update?

In all likelihood the boxes in the store still have the original release so after you install you'd go to the Apple website and download and install the 10.6.2 Combo Update. You should have reasonable confidence that after you install the Combo Update you can update iTunes. BTW - If you have an Apple TV server you should also install the 3.0.1 update to the Apple TV software.
