I read the amplified, Spirit filled, Life study, and even the ones you find in a motel room if I need to read God's word bad enough....Our spirit bears witness to the truth, so if we are reading something that is not lining up with God's truth, the Holy Spirit will prompt us...
I read many different versions at different times. I have been taught by different theologians how some are more true translations of the Greek and Hebrew than others but I have found, and those same Theologians agree that the word is a living word and that the Holy Spirit will use any translation to get His point across. As Appleuhisi said Our reborn spirit bears witness with the truth.
I might add that the King James and NIV hold special places in my heart.
I use either the scofield or new American standard, when I am at home I use my Bible soft on my computer with I t 16 different versions.

Has anyone ever read the Message?
ags57. is "l t 16 different versions" a software program, an internet link or a book; or perhaps all three. Do you have shareable links?
Are there any reliable translations from Aramaic of which anyone might be aware?
Apple,
No, I've not read the Message.
King James and New King James
I have "The Message,Linda" and I read from it too......I have accumulated many versions through the years......but as for coming as close to the true translation,I feel that the New American Standard version is the truest, just my personal opinion (and many scholars) ha
Anyway,I like the devotional ones very much.
