Your Prayers

Everyone list at least one thing you need prayer about, but don't stop with just one thing. (If you only need prayer for one thing, that's okay, we applaud you. Lol!)

Please pray that I will handle a difficult friendship situation in a Godly manner and do nothing to make it worse.

Please pray for the health of my family. My son is still experiencesing issues that the Dr thinks are related to the flu. My husband is battling asthma attacks like he has not experienced in 10 years and I deal with Rhuematiod Arthritis.

Also pray that God will continue to lead my husband and I in his will for ministry as Randy proceeds through the ordination process.

Yeah...we're making a list! Pray for my sinuses y'all and continued relief for us from roaches!. They aren't as bad as they were (my sinuses) and we're not seeing healthy roaches anymore (most of the very very few left have major 'birth defects' due to the poison. Lol!) (Well, you had to be there to get that last remark...Lol!), but both things are still annoying. And pray for my little energy spurt to continue til I can finish the clear-out in my house.
As you can see from my post, free free to mention needs for seemingly minor things also. Minor things can add up to major irritations.

Actually this isn't a prayer request for me, but for the residents of the Baptist Towers Retirement Community here in Atlanta that was struck by a 3-alarm fire around 10:30 this morning. I know at the *very least" two units were burned out and possibly more. Pray for those displaced that they will have a warm place to lay their head tonight and as they begin that long road to recovery.

I posted the prayer request for the residents at Baptist Towers. Here's the story about what happened:

Senior High-Rise Evacuated After Fire
Updated 11/9/2009 12:51:47 PM

Jennifer Leslie

ATLANTA -- About 250 residents had to be evacuated from a high-rise for seniors in Southwest Atlanta after a fire started in a unit on the fifth floor Monday morning.

The process was difficult and time-consuming since many of the residents at the Baptist Towers use wheelchairs, canes or walkers.

The fire started at about 8:30 a.m. It took Atlanta firefighters 30 minutes to knock down the flames.

"We thought it was a drill," said resident Reginald Goodman. "Then we noticed five was on fire."

Three residents were taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation, but they were in stable condition and doing well.

One firefighter was transported as a precaution after pushing himself too hard.

At noon, part of the building was still evacuated.

Many of the residents waited in chairs outside, while others loaded onto MARTA busses so they could be taken to another safe, warm location.

The fire went to three alarms to make sure there were enough firefighters on the scene to help with the complicated evacuation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
