It was about this time of year when my daughter was about 3 years old and remarked "Look at that naked tree" while I was driving down a gravel road. I almost went into a ditch looking for that tree!
Darrel when my two were born and up until they reach ages 10 or so I kept good records of all events I could think of..........I love memory making. For each child's cute remarks added, anything that was worth remembering in a Newsletter I did this for them as keep sakes.
To write down so many things said and done is easier to remember by doing this. Our babies are treasures aren't they and even as adults......Children say the darnest things.....Art Linkletter...
Loved your daughter's word's..(daddy's little girl?) .
I kept my 5 y/o grandson over the weekend. He was playing with a toy that had been my dad's, I told him that and wanted to know what his name was, so I told him. Then he looked up at me pretty excited and said "I want to meet him". I had to tell him that my dad was dead and he told me that I would have to go and get a new one. Don't think my mother would go along with that one. She's buried 2 husbands....don't think she has the energy left for #3.
Good one suzie and know what you mean about energy........I wish for a soulmate ...true one that is, than at times I don't know if I want to bother with that again.......left in God's hands as I don't know for sure. Enjoy your week all..........Blessings
Have to agree with you on the soul mate. It would have to be a special person to make me want to share my life, time, home with another person. I've grown too independent.
I was thinking about the time I was trying to teach my granddaughters about the fact that I was their Mommy's mother, and great grandma was mine.
I said this is my mommy, and I am her mommy. They would say, No your to old to be a mommy. And they really got mixed up about my mother, because they said I didn't have a mommy because I was as too old for one.
