Did you mean "sweeping" or "creeping"?
I for one, am happy that no one in America be considered "uninsured" for health care
I am sure that no one will be denied health care insurance for pre-existing disease.
I also realize the Senate has to put itself to the test as well
I look forward to a balanced Bill of compromise that will still provide some form of health care reform that the President will sign into law.
Nothing will be perfect, but overtime, it will modify to accommodate the reality.
Not since Franklin Roosevelt have we had a President hit the floor running and has dealt with so much in such little time.
I can't understand all the condemnation of this man.
The question of "what if" has become "when".
The greatest social prgram since medicare and there were some that were oppositional to that very successful program. It too continues to evolve.
The best may be yet to come.

I am with Riackaz. The boldest, strongest move since Medicare to see that all Americans have access to health care. Let's see what the Senate does with the bill now.
Mmmmmmmmm? Same as the creeping demise of the Republican party?

Health Care =Yay! Politics= Boooo!
Too bad we can't have Health care without the politics.
All it does is damage a damned good idea and doom it to failure.
Reckon we'll see if it ever clears the Senate, which will be a much more difficult task then the House. Almost anything can get past Pelosi.
Creeping right along ...
Charles, you've overdone it on the tooth whitening stuff ... lighten up!
I suppose what drives me nuts is the obsession with abortion when considering the health care legislation. When considering all the services that health care covers, what tiny fraction involves abortion.
It's already against federal law to fund abortion with taxpayer money. What's the big deal. My insurance covers early termination of a pregnancy. i don't like it but it is not my business what other people do with their own bodies
Abortion is mentioned 25 times in the house bill including...
"ABORTION.—Nothing in this Act shall be construed to preempt or otherwise have any effect on State laws regarding the prohibition of (or requirement of) coverage, funding, or procedural requirements on abortions, including parental notification or consent for the performance of an abortion on a minor."
...the bill mostly indicates a no discrimination / no participation approach re: abortions.
So the question remains, whats the big deal?
