Best to you Wolf, as you honor these important people with your wonderful memories of them. I lost my brother two weeks before Christmas in 2000 and another good friend just days before Christmas (both unexpected) and it seems now that the holidays bring with them a certain amount of trepidation if I'm not careful to check it at the door.
Hope everyone gets through these holidays with the peace and joy they're supposed to bring!
I know exactly what you mean. I lost my mother and brother in the Memorial Day flood in 1981 and then my dad 20 years later almost to the day in 2001. I hate May with a passion.

my heart goes out to you...it is so difficult to get through the holidays for me, too
I lost one sister December 30, 1996, my other sis December 21, 2006; my brother on Jan 7 2008 and my father Jan 8 2008...mom passed away in April of 2007---I find the holiday season more of an endurance test these days, but I try to volunteer somewhere to keep myself from having a pity party. It is tough at times.
In 1995 October 22 my Mother died after a very long time of suffering with Osteoperosus. My Dad died in 1964 on November 20 and my husband's Mother died on the same day of November 23 years later. Donna

Hey but Wolfit, let's look at the bright side, God gave you another great love in your life and you are getting married. Look forward to that.
