Are you planning a live tree (either with a root
ball or in a container) for Christmas? Now is the time to
prepare the hole for planting, before the ground freezes.
Be sure to put your fill in the garage or basement to avoid
it freezing.

Are you even having a Christmas tree this year? I am not sure I will go to the trouble.

HippyGirl --- You need to put up a tree and "adopt a family" to share your Christmas. The hollidays are the toughest time for greiving and by sharing with a less fortunate person/family it will lesson your aloneness. Churches or schools are a good place to find a person/child such as I suggest. I believe that it will be returned to you 7 fold.
As you seem to be a master of these situations please take this as a suggestion only.
