Marionette Dreams
Do marionettes dream? It might appear so from this perspective. This puppet was part of a puppet presentation of Hindu and Buddhist stories at the Asian Art Museum's latest show on Burma and Thailand. It is made in the classic Burmese style from wood, with paint, woven textiles, glass and pearl beads with sequins. This was taken indoors with a skylight as the light source.
