SERIOUS country and a challenge.....

I have included links here.....listen to this as this is serious country.....

Play time is over.....this is NOT what you hear from Toby, Willie, or any of the others.....

IF you can handle it.....this is the heart of country music.....that which addresses your basic desires.....

Listen to all and share.....

Enjoy, but post replies here.....

There are more, but if you can hear these and not cry, then do not claim to have a heart.....

I was raised on country music . It has to be the saddest music in the world . I rarely listen to it anymore because real life is depressing enough for me .

I very rarely heard country music when I was growing up in Boston, but I really enjoy it now.

That may be what YOU listened to, but I prefer listening to music that doesn't make me want to commit suicide. That stuff is too depressing for me, but you are welcome to it. I guess you and George Jones have the same thought pattern.

I much prefer to hear about tractors, red dirt roads, Fancy, Harper Valley P.T.A., Delta Dawn, Cheerleaders; you know, songs with hope. But, you know, that's why they have different radio stations, and produce different records/CD's.

Most definitely NOT a country music fan. I've tried, but just don't like it. Give me jazz, classic rock or even classical music.

. . .it's all in what you grew up with. Not a country music fan, but see it's charm.

I like all kinds of music from reggae to rock & roll, Brahms to Brad Paisley. I don't think there is a single genre in which I enjoy every song but I've found something to enjoy in most genres. Just because it butters my bread is no reason to expect it to butter yours.

I am not fond of country music - I think I prefer western a bit better. A side from country - I like just about everthing else.

I really resent songs like "Teddy Bear" which merely string together as many tragedies as possible to try and get us choked up.

They just make me giggle. . .
