We missed having a Depression by the skin of our teeth, so his prediction was slightly off. Happens all the time in the prediction business. Nostradamus he ain't.

You obviously didn't read the article since the Depression that von Mises predicted was the Great Depression of the 1930's. Von Mises has been dead for over 20 years, but his wisdom lives on.

Didn't need to. The air is filled with misguided apocalypse theories, each one claiming to be more accurate than the last. Frankly, predictions quickly degenerate into shell games and snake oil cures, the life blood of hucksters and quacks. Which was von Mises, a huckster or a quack?

How typical of the allegedly" open-minded" liberal - don't bother me with facts. Von Mises was probably the greatest economist of the 20th century, but that means nothing to an ignoramous.

Len doesn't like to read for in reading, he may find facts that he likes to hide from for it would shock him into actually compromising or not finding fault that he loves to do every day of his life.

I don't know of Von Mises, but find him interesting that he would predict the Great Depression and it actually happened.

16 million people and counting out of work and if the healthcare bill passes companies and businesses will either go elsewhere or fold for good and then hell will break loose. This country is at the abyss and anything can happen right now that could send it over the edge and will not Len be surprised how quickly it will take it to fall flat on its face. Be prepared for bread lines, but Len doesn't have to worry for the Union is making sure his life is not harsh during his retirement and Government workers for Obama loves them, for they put him in office by their votes that he is paying back in spades and hell with the rest of us.

You should just see how many businesses are folding here in Wisconsin. All you do is have to take a drive down Highway 100 and see businesses that are closing or moving elsewhere. One fellow built a new building afew blocks away from our apartment and hasn't been able to sell it or lease it out to businesses for there are no people who want to start one here for over 2 years now. Highway 100 has building after building closed and has a sign out selling or leasing the building and can't. Economy good the Government says - tell that to those who build buildings, small businesses who leave or fold or who will not hire now.

LenRobertson is the atypical Liberal. Don't bother me with facts my mind is made up and nothing is going to change it.

Who says you have missed the deppression? If they keep printing money like it is going out of style it will catch up to them when the dollar is no longer recognized on the world currency. Building bridges to knowwhere and hugh hunks of money going to places like the arts that make porn and 2 trillion dollar health care that will go to 10 trillion in 5 years that envolks upon people the taxes that will pay for it. This is proably the most stupid bunch of people running this country who are interested in their own selfish agendas.10% unemployment and rising?

When you have people out on the street with suitcases that roll with that hinge to hold on to and people living in cars by old buildings that have closed and shelters full of people, but not just people - families who have lost their homes - this is just the start of the Depression.

When you have road and bridges done and all these people are out of a job again - 16million will turn to 17 million again. And 10.2% will become 15% like 30% in Detroit and 15% in Illinois, Indiana, and California and everything inbetween.

Who is going to pay taxes when people don't have jobs? And that includes from what I've heard these age groups 20-24, and 55 and over, who still want a job for they don't want to lose their dignity, but this President doesn't care and neither does the Liberals on here.

The Great Depression is coming very quickly for this country is at the abyss right now and anything that can go wrong will tip the scales and we could find ourselves having one - which this President wants for in having a National Disaster, he could become a Dictator or have a country take us over. I'd be looking into this possibility - I'm very suspect of this Governments plans for our future. It wouldn't surprise me any if the next move of moving these terrorists here on American soil that something happens.

Obama or whomever is at his coat-tails has some unforeseen plans for America and it isn't anything great for this Country, it is a plan for a nightmarish radical hope for our demise.

You missed the meaning of the road work. It was already payed for by gasoline taxes and it was not a job created it was already being done.
