Wrapping

With a little imagination, brown parcel paper, some twine, festive ribbon, and nature-made embellishments are all you need to wrap gifts. Wrap your presents as usual; add the twine or ribbon. Then, simply use floral wire to attach kumquats, holly sprigs, and other seasonal decor to add a burst of color.

Kumkwats? hahahaha. Sorry, just sounded funny.

We used to have so many great crafts and things to do with brown paper because the grocery stores always used brown paper bags. Now, most of them use plastic.

How is it in your area? Do any of the grocery stores still offer the brown paper bag option? None of them do here in Mexico. It is all plastic. And any of that brown craft paper is kind of expensive.

I really like those packages in the photos, Syd. But not for Christmas. Or. .. wait! .... I am getting an idea. For Christmas, stamp them with Christmas motifs using red and green inks. Yeah, that would be cool!

Most all stores offer paper in California. We are big on recycling out here and the plastic just doesn't go away. We have to sort our trash, also. And we all take our cans and plastic bottles to the recycler to get $$$$$$. The grandkids split the money and everyone is happy.
