Health Care Bill Passes House!

The democratic congress has passed the Health Care Reform (take over) bill by a slim margin - the 2000 page monstrosity is now being prepared to be laid on the backs of the American people - the full impact of this bill if written into law will not be fully realized until 2019, if there is an America left by then.

In my opinion, this is good news: view link

"The government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to a few Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate.

If a government plan is part of the deal, "as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote," said Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut independent whose vote Democrats need to overcome GOP filibusters.

"The House bill is dead on arrival in the Senate," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said dismissively."

Yes, Arky. That surely is good news. Long live Lieberman!!! OR Go Joe!

Loved this picture on Yahoo of the "Big Wigs" gloating at their supposed victory.

The house made a deal with the Catholic Church leaders to pass the Stupack/Smith Amendment to specifically prohibit funds for abortion in order to get the votes to pass the bill - it was a deal with the devil though because the liberal democrats were circulating the message to the pro abortion democrats that this amendment would be nullified when the house/senate bills were reconciled. This whole health care fiasco is a deal with the devil and bad for both young, old, small business, middle class and unemployed Americans. Right now the big companies are salivating about being able to shed many of the benefits they now give employees and jump on the "government mandated minimum" benefits that will be directed by the bill - I have found out from previous mandates, that big companies jump on these government mandates as a way to make more profits at the expense of the workers. I wonder if all these people who are gung ho about the new mandate will be bothered when they find out that their employee sponsored health care becomes just above a catastrophic plan and they are paying much more of the bill than they are now? If it didn't impact all of us, I would enjoy seeing their surprise. And that doesn't include the direct and indirect tax increases we will all pay.
