It is amazing to me that they put on blinders once they have office. This goes for republicans also... they feel they become elite once they go to Washington and they make decisions based on what is best for the party not best for the people. This bill will give health care to illegal immigrants who will be given the right to vote and outnumber us in future elections.If we don't stand up now and make Tea Parties even bigger this monstrosity of a bill will go all the way through. Pelosi and Obama must be stopped. I am sick to death of pelosi and the democrats saying that this is waht the american people want though if you look at the polls we as a majority are demanding the opposite. We need to bring them down.

It also cuts the benifits to the seniors.....as we get older we will get less and less......we are not important to this country any longer....Just get ready.....you will be allowed to die...you aren't needed.

I want to know what they were thinking. How many of them actually read the bill before they voted on it? What is it now; 1900 pages??? And if they didn't read it, how can they possibly know all that's included? And if they don't know all that's included, how in the world will all the bill's provisions be enforced??? Obviously pelosi, et al aren't watching the news reports or reading newspapers. This is NOT what the American public want. There are way too many uncertainties and questions. How can they push through a bill for something this complex? Since when is it ok for the federal government to be involved in banking, having a say in how much a CEO's bonus is (which is backed by a legally binding contract in the majority of cases) and who said we wanted them involved in health care? Our government has gotten WAY too big. And they're doing SUCH a good job with Social Security and Medicare! They all need to be reminded they serve at the will of the people; not the other way around. I'm from CA and unfortunately we've been stuck with pelosi for far too long. She's an idiot! Right now a very strong, Republican woman has emerged who is challenging pelosi's seat. I don't know much about her right now, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm behind her 100% and she's got my vote. What is happening with our country? Is it beyond fixing? Illegal aliens shouldn't be rewarded with anything; they should be deported. And you know, for a long time I've wanted to take the biggest sharpie I can find, go to the Statue of Liberty and scratch out the phrase...give me your recheted refuse (sorry about the spelling). I don't want any other country's refuse!!! We need to tighten our borders and treat all illegal aliens the same way other countries would. Everything they're given is a slap in the face of all our ancesters who came here and did everything the right way and entered this country legally. Mine did. I'm only third generation born in this country. Ok...I'll get off my soap box now and give someone else a turn.

This post just caught my eye. I think it is absolutely horrible that our voices are not being heard. Quite frankly, I do not even trust in the voting system. All while there is not enough to make ends meet, they are all living high on the hog. It is NO SKIN OFF FROM THEIR BACKS!!!
My mom and dad do not have enough to get by on now, what in the world is going to happen to us?? My mother is allowed so many drops for her glaucoma. If she spills ONE drop, they will not refill her medicine to keep her from going blind. The pharmacist said it is impossible to make a bottle of drops last a month resulting in her going without her eye meds for too long. Yet, we have the privilege of seeing the presidents wife in ballgowns that cost a fortune, their children have designer clothing that cost thousands of dollars and they live beyond Luxury. Politics is what it is and it will never change. Whether we get what is promised or not, their darn paychecks do not change. Maybe the white house kitchen should open a soup kitchen or let some of the homeless who have lost their jobs camp out on their yard!!! What is our government contributing to these people. Yet, he is funding third world countries for abortions???? Hey people, that is our money!!! Money is being distributed in the wrong places for the wrong reasons. I am thankful that I believe in a God who promises to take care of those who look to Him. "I recall an article when the Clinton's were in office about how much the satin sheets cost for their bed???????

I've said before that we should fill out our income taxes in the spring and, if we owe money, send them an IOU stating that I'm NOT refusing to pay my taxes, rather I'm putting it in a special account to pay WHEN they stop destroying MY country and do what's best for ME. I'll even give them the interest earned which should REALLY pi$$ them off since interest rates earned are practically non-existent right now.

If we could only get a few million of us to do that....

I hate to say this.....but I really think the day is coming that when you hit a certain age (the age that most of us are at now) You will not be given medical service......you just wont be worth it. This bill that has been approved....is going to be the start of it. They are already talking about cutting medicare service to the elderly.....those people are not important to the gov. You have very little to offer them.

Rita I think you're right....and if enough people would band together it would do some good. Most people will not do that and it would take many.

We still have a small hope.....that was just the 'House' version that was voted on.....The Senate says they wont even be able to get to a vote this year....

I hope thats the case, although....sadly, I dont know that anyone will either listen to the American public for a change or come to their own senses !!
