I agree both have the peer pressure. So think it is about equal. boys I think start paying for their own clothes earlier I think mine did.

I have 4 sons, my sister has 2 daughters. Seems to me her girls were more expensive. But I was a single Mom for awhile so everything seemed expensive back then.
