Finnkid, Will & Grace

I just heard from Finnkid. Will & Grace have arrived. They were spayed and neutered. Will had his teeth removed and his jaw is broken from the rot. Grace has a dry eye (I think it was removed). THey both have Elizabethan Collars on and we all know how miserable it is for them to have those on. But give them all a day or two and they will be ok. They've been through a lot, Finnkid is going through a lot. She just wanted me to let everyone know she will be back on giving updates as soon as her new kids settle in. Will and Grace are so very lucky to have come into Finnkids life, they couldn't have it better anywhere else.

Fostering is such a wonderfully worthwhile endevor, but it can be heart wrenching. Poor little Will and Grace. Thank goodness somebody found them and got them out of that terrible place.

Thanks for letting us know holly04. Poor doggies. Sounds like they had a lot to go through to get past the damage done from the neglect they had before. Hope and pray they heal quickly and feel much better soon. Bless Finnkid for her caring heart. It is so wonderful she has taken them in.

Thank you for your prayers, we made it through night 1 - they need so much care, I had no idea they would arrive this way, but I'll do what I can to give them comfort -

Poor Grace is having a hard time as she had to have a tumor removed and has a 3" incision in her tummy, not counting the spaying - her teeth were good so she has that going for her. She has dry eye in one eye, the other eye is gone. I just can't imagine having a dog or any animal get in that horrible condition and not doing anything about it. The more I deal with these situations the more angry I get. Those people should be put in jail or at least made to pay the vet bills.

Little Will is a character but he had to have all his teeth removed and has a fractured jaw from the rotting in his mouth so his little mouth has to be horribly painful. He was neutered so that too, but I've found that's much easier than spaying. He doesn't want to take his medication as his mouth hurts and I'm so afraid I might hurt him - so I put it in his food and he got it down. Hope that's ok, I'm no vet. Their appetites are good +++

So all in all we're doing fine thanks to all your thoughts and prayers. They are such a sad pair right now - wondering if anyone will even consider them for adoption. Maybe after the healing we can get busy on looking pretty. :) They certainly are as sweet as can be.

Will try to get a decent photo soon.

Bless you and thank you for the good report. Hope Will and Grace heal quickly from all that they are able. Oh dear. So terrible! I'm with you on your feelings about such people neglecting them. They are so fortunate to have someone like you step in and help them. Poor things. Sounds like you are doing a good job finnkid. Look forward to seeing pics when you are ready.
