Now That You Have All This Time ....

When you are retired, people think you have nothing to do, and are sitting around twiddling your thumbs to while away the lonely hours.

Do you find that now that you are retired your family and friends expect you to do, do, do for them? Build this? Fix that? Babysit all the time? Etc etc, etc?

I don't have that problem. Friends and family know how busy I am. I've written a novel and am about 25 pages into novel #2. I helped build a Habitat for Humanity house. I volunteer at the senior center 3 days a week. DH and I take a major trip every 6 months and every other weekend at the beach. I'm busier now than I've ever been

Yes we do get that when we are home. That is one reason we travel for 5 to 6 months a year. I have had to put my foot down on the amount of time I baby sit. When you have the grandkids to much, they stop being fun.

When I retired....I moved clear out of state. So I have no friends and no family. No one asks me to do a thing. So far....I like it!
