Swine Flu Vaccine

and seasonal flu vaccine are both available at the Family Walk-In Clinic located at the intersection of US-1 and Eyster Blvd in Rockledge. The cost for receiveing both vaccines is $60 (approx $30 apiece without insurance). Of course you'll pay less if you're covered by an insurance plan.

H1N1 info from the CDC... view link

got the regular flu shot @ walgreens...$25...first time i ever decided to get one...haven't made my mind up about the H1N1 yet...but there is some thought that getting the regular flu shot might lessen the impact of the swine flu if you do come down with it...another shot to consider if you already have some distressed respiratory functions is a pneumonia shot...it's good for 5 yrs...ask your doc!...

thanks for the reminder nick!...

not getting the h1n1...perhaps the other...or I could just keep WAITING........
We did have a Dr. tell Pancho NOT to, under any circumstance, get a flu shot. With the M.S. it would just play hell with his already screwed up immune system.Makes one wonder..........

My doctor gave me the regular flu shot. I asked him about the swine flu shot and he sid no. In 1957 I had the Asian flu shot because I was pregnant and doctor insisted. I have since then had pneumonia shots. Hopefully I'm covered.

My dr told me it was my decision to have the regular one. But he doesn't trust the H1N1. He's old school so I tend to trust his instincts on this.

Your doc doesn't trust the H1N1 vaccine? Did he say why?

He doesn't think it was tested enough. He also is suspicious of its safety since it's manufactured in China.
