Well, I was a bit green that day after crawling through brush, overgrown bushes, low slung trees, knees in mud, hair hung up in branches... so, I would say that possibly a few of my loud expletives and thrashing around scared them all away... including the troll...LOL!! Thank you for all your comments!!

Brings back memories of telling my daughters the story of the "Three Billy Goats Gruff" complete with different voices for each character. Now I am telling it to my grandchildren.
