Hi!

Don't be alarmed with the fact that I have a personal profile with no info...it's because I just joined today!
My name is Melissa, and Im actually hoping I could find someone on this website to help me out.

I attend York University in Toronto, and will be going on exchange next August-September for around 8 months to Southampton, UK.
I am looking for a place to stay for that time period, with a good family who could rent me a room for a maximum of 220pounds/mth...which for me, it would be around $400can including utilities and internet. (no food)

Please whoever has any good contacts living in Southampton, let me know....thank you so much! :)

Hi. Nice to have you in the group. You might also try posting your request in our All Things British group. view link That group has people living in Britain or British expats living in the US. They might be able to help you.

And have you tried Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree forums? view link Maybe someone on that forum could give you a lead.
