Imagine This?
One of my joys with digital photography is that I can unleash my imagination. If I can picture it in my mind, can I replicate it digitally?
Here is a photo of Rialto Beach, a wild beach on the west coast of the Olympic Peninsula:

I awoke during the night wondering what it would look like if we moved North Head Light near Long Beach on the southwest Washington coast to Rialto Beach.

With a closer look, you can see that after cropping the lighthouse, I made a selection of the bottom right section of the lighthouse, mirrored it and pasted it on the lower left front of the structure. After a little blending, it was ready for transport up the coast to Rialto Beach.
Using the two photos and selections, layers and masks, I was able better picture my imagination. This is one of the many things I enjoy with digital photography.

Of course, this would never happen because the wild winter storms that hit this beach would quickly destroy the structure. The next time you are out this way, stop by for a visit to the beautiful, wild beach. Imagine that.
