Challenge: The voice of trees, Nov. 7 - 13

Challenge starting Saturday/Nov. 7 thru Friday/Nov. 13 is trees. Your subject can be one or more trees or parts of trees, with emphasis placed on the unique quality inherent in them. No two trees, groups of trees, or patches of woods or forest are alike :-) See what makes them *different* & tell us why you chose to take your shot.

If you’re a new member, please click this link for the Challenge Rules before you enter.

Post your masterpiece or lucky shot in the reply.

John Meir redwood forest, while walking thru here, the Redwoods just kept going up and up. Also in middle of day, so quiet and still. Somewhat dark also, just takes you back in time.

I'm not sure what kind of tree this was, but I like what it has become.

This wonderful dead juniper tree is at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. It's the same tree that Georgia O'Keeffe painted.

Okay, I'm going to try posting my wonderful dead juniper tree again, from Georgia O'Keeffe's Ghost Ranch in New Mexico.

The growths on this tree caught my eye. I guess that the limbs were either broken or pruned and these are the scars.
