Error Message

Message 4064 of 7480

I just purchased and downloaded a game called "peril at end house" from a site called Big Fish. Every time I attempt to start the game I get the following error message Error: access violation at 0x0042ABD8 (tried to read from 0x0000001D, program terminated.

I am running Windows XP and meet all the system requirements for the game. the same game runs on my other computer in the house, running vista...

Any ideas why this is happening ?

no idea. I googled the error message and even that came up empty. Is there more (or perhaps, less) to the error message?

Have you tried going to bigfishgames.com and contacting them? After all, you purchased a game from them, so they should be supporting any problems you have with it.

I don't know if this will help, but you might want to read this from their Help menu:

Good call, Jason......

palmtree - you may just have your protection settings rigged too high. Hopefully, the support desk will be able to let you safely (and briefly!) "lower your shields" for the install.
