USS NY being commissioned today

The USS NY which is made from over 7.5 tons of steel taken from the World Trade Center is being commissioned today in NYC at Pier 86.
I am sure it will be on all the news stations so adding a link here is not necessary.
Just passing this on.

I'm hoping it will be on the Noon News which starts here in a couple minutes. Thanks for the heads-up. If it isn't, I'll find it on the web.

May all who sail in her have fair winds and following seas, and, should they
proceed in harm's way, I wish them all a safe return to their loved ones.

Thanks bunts,I knew that sailor's prayer but forgot.
Glad to see the New York under way. I was in the Amphibious Forces on The USS Vermilion. We were called the Gator Navy because of out amphibious capabilities. Ship's comliment was half Marines and half Sailors. Can do,will do. US NAVY 1957-1962. :0)
