I'm Back Up and Running :-D

Sno Leopard was resinstalled by my One to One instructor who wanted to personally handle the installation. We vacationed and it took me a few days to feel like tackling the restoration. Because restoration didn't proceed as expected, (ie: iPhoto denied me access from some reason & from Time Machine screen, it wasn't showing backups from prior to my problems) I needed Apple-care tech support to help me. I also had iTunes & Front Row issues. Front Row is still taking much longer to load the trailers than it did before installing S.L., nothing they had me try fixed that.

The process was relatively painless although we were on the phone for about an hour and a half. Yesterday, I re-installed my Logic music studio program which took about 8-1/2 hours. Firefox which always crashed in my login before (but not in my son's or husband's logins...go figure) now seems stable.

Even with all the MAC issues I've had lately, I still would not go back to using a PC.....at least not if I have a choice.

I dont have Logic,, (yet) but in three years even with a Base Station Router, Timemachine and another
external hard drive, Snow Leopard, new iWork and i Life, everything had been so smooth.

At first SL was slow after installation and I was smashed, but I just reset Safari and there was smooth sailing, going on two or three months now.

I dont use a printer tho.

You reset Safari by clicking the word SAFARI next to the black apple at the top left of your screen while Safari is open and running and you're in "it".

The dropdown gives you several options....one of them is "reset Safari".

Hey, OneyeDiva - welcome back! Glad the Apple Genius, uh, guru, uh, smart kid got your mac back to the pack!
