So much of our underwater archaeology focuses on shipwrecks , but because ocean levels have risen and so many early settlements were along coasts , the bulk of undiscovered early towns are probably now under water .

How lovely. I took up scuba a few yrs ago. It will be fun to visit underwater coastal sites. Love the beaches and to combine it with ruins, WOW. Wrecks are kinda creepy.

I'm impressed! I marvel when I see divers jumping into dark water. I always watch the documentaries that feature underwater exploration.

My criteria for going into the water are: don't go below 7'; clear water; able to see the bottom; water temp at least 90 - hmmm, sounds like a pool to me!
