NEWSPAPERS VS. COMPUTERS

With alot of newspaper companies, looking to cut cost, yet remain in business...what do you think of newspapers being delivered, only a few days a week...and the remainig days, get news via internet.
Do you subscribe to a newspaper? What is their delivery set up? (7) days a week? What do you think of obtaining news info. via internet? Does it matter on way or anoher? Why? why not? How often due you actually read the paper?

Okay, put down your newspaper and step up to that mouse and let us have it..................whatcha thinkin'?

I think it's a shame that so many newspapers are going belly up. Sometimes I just like to flip through a newspaper. It's like a Kindle vs a real book.

There is no newspaper delivery where we live and we'll buy a paper when in town - Times UK. We always buy the local weekly paper as well.

I never read newspapers. I look for them to be totally gone in another 10 years. When my kids were in high school I'd read them because I'd know many of the kids who made news, but now local news doesn't concern me. The important news is reported on TV. My main use for local newspapers now is store ads.

When I worked for the Free Press in the late 80's I couldn't start my day w/o reading the paper.

I use to have to have my newspaper, but I am on my computer so much and use it for my news, entertainment and knowledge that I do not miss the newspaper anymore.

I don't have time to read a newspaper nor do I have time to read the news sources I subscribe to: The New Republic, Salon, ABC, NY TImes, Boston Globe and The Huffington Post. However, there are many stories for which one has only to read the headline. I also listen to NPR.

I still buy one now and then, but get most of my news online. More and more are shutting down everyday.

Always liked keeping up on the news. I would escape from work at lunch and read the papers. It was my break for the day. Still subcribe to the Macomb Daily to see what is going on locally. Since the price of Freep and News went up to a dollar I don't buy them like I used to. Still always buy the Sunday paper. I have read the old home time paper online for a few years. Enjoy going on Google news to see what the rest of the country is talking about. Once in a while read overseas papers online to see what other countries think of what is happening in America.

Maple, do you ever read this Guardian in the UK online? A liberal paper which always has a lot to say about politics in the US.
