High! Full-time hippie, which I've been my entire adult life -- I and my old man are considered "those hippies" by both sides of our families, because of our looks and our lifestyle, which hasn't changed much since the late '60s! Peace-loving, unshaven, long-haired, pot-smoking, cosmos-caring, passionate persons are who we are, pretty much 24/7.
We've both been lucky because we've never had to compromise our "hippie ways" (for employment reasons), and I often think of us as "ambassadors" for the hippie way-of-life, especially emphasizing the "peace-love/understanding-pot" aspects of it. We still live simply, heating our house with a wood stove, never using a clothes dryer (if it's wet, it gets hung up on a line strung in our livingroom!), growing our own herbal medicine, etc. We live out in the boonies, in a county with LOTS of "hippies." Because we didn't have kids, we never had to "straighten-up" or "maintain" in front of anyone -- we could just be our hippie-selves. Stay High and Peace! Alison

Hippie is a state of mind. I have lived in communes, been to Woodstock, traveled with the hog farm in India. Helped them in Woodstock. Actually it was in Bethel, NY. Appearance is nothing to do with it. Feel it and live it and love it. Enjoy the life we were given. Too many of the people I knew including Abbie (Hoffman) found themselves dead because of mental problems and difficulties. We are survivors and have been blessed for it: raising families and living full lives. Good for all of you.

Those cloth diapers made the best cleaning rags ever. LOL.
Definitely full time for me! Tie dye is my favorite color. Naturally white hair locking up into dreads. Pierced eybrow, double pierced nose. Seven piercings in my ears. Numerous beautiful tattoos. Still attending music festivals whenever I can. (Just saw Dickie Betts and Great Southern. They ROCKED!)
It was about laying down our differences and living by the Golden Rule. I have to believe that all those great freaks will be retired in the next few years and we can finish what we started. Part time? Oh sure, jump in...we won't blow your cover. Heh.
