Win 7 is impressive so far. When I first played with Vista on my sister's computer I took an instant dislike to it but this I like.
The system was built by a computer geek that actually refused to sell any computer with Vista on it out of his store. He calls Win 7 "Vista fixed". My case has 3 fans in it and a 2 Terabyte HD. Between the kids and Linda I haven't had much face time with it yet.
I may take my older Dell computer to him, get a new HD installed, a Lightscribe DVD, wireless keyboard and reinstall my XP on it. After 7 years, it's full of crud plus that HD won't last forever. Surprisingly it's still a decent machine. I'll keep the older HD as a second drive.
Lightscribe lets you burn your own labels on a DVD/CD when you buy Lightscribe blanks. Here are a couple samples I found on the net:

Well, I have vista and I wanted Windows 7, but at the time I had to have something right then. I also use AOL, which no boos please, I have been using it for 12 years now and I never had a problem. Although, I did try to use SW Bell, MSN and Yahoo. My geek guy was able to set up my aol as I am used to seeing it. I can of course use the vista format, but I don't. All I know is when I dropped my other computer, I lost everything that was saved to my hard drive, but the 99% od everything else that was on AOL was still in tact. Let's not forget aol also has been getting better over time. You can get aol for free. Yup, true and I know people who do. I continue to pay my less than $10 a month.

Ok, CB about lap tops. I went for the larger 17 inch screen the first go round and for someone as weak as I am, it was like lugging a desk top around. I never used the number pad.

If you will remember when I got this new one last spring, I also got one for my mother. Her's is a little larger than mine and does have the keypad. Mine doesn't. For myself, I look at everything, as well as the weight of the lap top. The weight is very important to me.

I have to admit I am still having problems. Now, I don't do near what all the rest of you do and I still continue to have problems. Hmmmm could it be the brand........I don't know. I have a Toshiba and my mother has an HP. My last lap top was also a Toshiba. Maybe that is where my problem is. I don't think so. I think it is more my fear of updates. One update ended up costing me over $300, just because there was a glitch.

I in particular have a problem with eons. I get all sorts of warnings and sometimes I am cut off in the middle of something. Sometimes eons does not accept my IE browser. I also have Firefox. I am about ready to take this thing in and throw it at them with all the problems I have had.

If I had the money, I personally, in a lap top, would go for the best MAC has to offer. All my kids have Macs and I have used them. Everytime I have used a public access computer, such as an apartment complex, etc, they have all been Macs and I have not had one single problem. The problems with Macs is the price. For one with everything you want you are looking for is well over $2,000.

Ok, on the TV. Our WalMart no longer has lay a way, but Sears does. Even the flat screen new TV's they are very heavy for me. It just depends on how Macho you want to get, but I saw one today, I would love to have in my bedroom, under $500.

Personally, I am looking at different gadgets that I am wanting. First, I want a satelite cell phone and then a satelite computer. In extreems, towers can fall, but it is hard to beat a satelite. A phone can get into major bucks. Can't even imagine what a computer would be.

Ok, so this is weird. Now I can see all my replies. Lord, I must be the biggest Dork in the world.

Well since I have to input all our Avon orders on line, a number key pad would be really useful for me. I don't really have to lift mine that much. I have a little tray with legs that it sits on and I can pull it close to me while I sit on the couch. So the weight issue isn't so important to me.
