ALRIGHT HELP ME OUT HERE

Last spring MARYTAKE5 and I were hiking around Lake Minnewaska in the Shawangunk Mts in Ny . There were 2 of these birds or raptors close by I got these shots but do not recognize the species . I'v since seen this Raptor several times but it flys through the trees so fast i can not get a shot.
Any guesses

Based on the feathers in the first pic, I'd guess a species of eagle. At least the pic of a bald eagle that I have has the same number of wingtip feathers, and it's not the same as a hawks. It's kind of hard to tell from these pics, though.
How big are these guys? Got any further description?
