FT Hood shooter implications

The FT Hood shooter raises these below:

Stronger urge to Ban semi auto guns
Ban Muslims from Military?
Deter enlistments?
another avenue to Take Guns away.
Better screening of officers for Medical roles
Screening out Muslims?

& these:

Did shooter use own guns or from Base armory
Or was he given guns to use.

How many GIs (save MPs) have sidearms in that facility?"

How did he make Major with his comments about war?

Why didnt other officers nudge to be quiet on Koran etc.

& where's the NRA on this issue.

Again I sense a pattern:

Lone shooter, kills X0, X00, then kills self, & Guns of choice:

Assult Guns & Semi Autos.

Since 1984, McDonalds, San Ysidro CA?

Verify anyone.

& what does the media do etc

Ban Guns, Ban ammo sales.

Comments?

CC & Fwd this.

All shooters have used Semi autos in shootings IF not assult weapons etc.

Anyplace USA is a FREE FIRE ZONE.

2 much doesnt add up:

US Army Major (medical trained) makes Pro Islam comments about War
Makes rank of Major.
Had issues at Walter Reed Medical Center.
PRs Koran before shooting
Then goes on rampage.

Im I missing something?

IE

Security
Screening
Officers hearing about his comments IE Maj Gen would be nice.
& any impact on Enlisted whom he may have met.

& that darn Psych degree is a Winner,

Now the whole Psych Field looks Bad.

The only Blessing in this melee.

Anyone know FT Hood layout for shooting?

Whose NOT doing theyre job in the US Army CounterIntelligence,
MPs, Base police, IG, CMSgt for the Base ( If impacted enlisted), Chaplin Corp, Other MDs.

Damn Chain of Command & DC bureaucracy.

Blessings & Peace to ALL FT Hood victims.

U neednt come Home to this.

I know Ft Hood like the back of my hand. Having lived in Killeen and a son going to school on base, me doing my majority of my nurse's training there and now having both a son and daughter in law, stationed there....yes I know it backwards and forwards. Not to mention, that Ft Hood is a part of our everyday life here. Also, owned property that a barbed wire fence was the only thing that seperated us from Ft Hood.

The truth........Ft Hood and Killeen is a dangerous place. There is major crime in and around the base, that has nothing to do with Muslims. I don't know enough about Muslims to make a statement one way or the other. (well yes I do, but not willing to state so in public)

The shooter bought his guns off base. If I am able to buy what I want, you can well imagine how easy it is for a military person.

Does this make me want to change the laws? NO!!!!!!!! The only law I would like to see is that all have the ability to defend themselves. Or rather I should say, that all take advantage of that right.

I feel that the right for a soldier on a base of any kind and anyone in his family should have the right to defend themselves.

I don't know what to say about the Muslims. You have to accept that once in the military, you are nothing more than government issue. No, I do not like that reality, with two career sons in the military.

First, do not jump to conclusions, even though I might agree. You must stay calm in the storm.

BTW..............finally got my CHL. I was beginning to wonder.

Betcha the shooter woulda been taken out sooner if more of the victims had been armed. How long did they hafta wait before there was return fire at shooter?

I saw an interview tonight on the news where one of the survivors said that if only they had been armed they could have stopped him. It's terrible that we have trained soldiers sworn to protect our country who are not allowed to carry firearms. They should be allowed to carry arms 24/7 IMO. Just like the police. Can you imagine how quickly this would have ended had someone tried it in a police station?

He probably would not have decided to attack had he known everyone could shoot back.

I am in so agreement MS. Unfortunately the bill to carry on college campases was shot down here. It is the very places that firearms are not allowed, that we need to be able to carry. When will people learn that gun laws are not going to stop criminals from getting guns.
